Tour enjoyment par excellence: explore cultural highlights and 8 deep blue lakes along your tour.

Right after starting from your Alpenblickhotel Oberstaufen, you’ll drive along the Großer Alpsee lake (the largest natural lake in Allgäu) and then turn to the direction of Wertach. It is exactly there where you’ll reach the next lake, the Grüntensee, and drive to the Weißensee lake and on to the Forggensee lake. From there, you can visit the legendary royal mansions and, in that way, travel back to the middle ages. After that sightseeing, you’ll pursue the Deutsche Alpenstraße (German Alpine Road) in the direction of Bad Kohlgrub to Staffelsee – Kochelsee and to Walchensee – and on to Wallgau – Barmsee – as far as Garmisch-Partenkirchen (offering a view of the Zugspitze). You’ll drive to Ettal (Ettal Abbey) and, over the Ammer Saddle (1,082 m), to Reutte (Ehrenberg castle ruin).

You’ll then continue over the Gaicht Pass (1,093 m) and Oberjoch Pass (1,174 m) and subsequently you’ll set out on your way back to your Alpenblickhotel Oberstaufen.

THROUGH THE BREGENZ FOREST | APPROX. 255 KM

Enjoy the nature along this winding tour: cross 4 passes and drive thoroughly through the Bregenz Forest famous for its natural beauties.

The tour begins at the Alpenblickhotel Oberstaufen, from where you’ll head towards Sulzberg and Hittisau and then cross the Bregenz Forest. Discover here the marvellous flora & fauna of Vorarlberg. After the Bregenz Forest, the tour leads over the Hochtannberg Pass (1,676 m) and Flexen Pass (1,773 m), and thenceforth you’ll drive through the Klostertal valley. From there, you’ll see the Gayenhofen castle built already in the 13th century. Let yourself be enchanted by this epoch and become an explorer. Following a brief break, you’ll continue over the Faschinajoch Pass (1,486 m) and the Furkajoch Pass (1,761 m) and on to Hohenems and Dornbirn. In Dornbirn, make sure not to miss the Rolls-Royce Museum.

After that breathing pause, you’ll drive back to the Alpenblickhotel Oberstaufen. In the end, you’ll have discovered the most beautiful places of Vorarlberg within 255 kilometres.

More than just a lake! It is not without reason that the Lake Constance is also known as the Swabian Sea. Just discover both tranquil villages and cultural top highlights around the Lake Constance.

Your route around the lake starts at the Alpenblickhotel Oberstaufen and, to begin with, you’ll drive through Egg – Dornbirn – Lustenau and Rorschach. From there, you’ll already catch sight of the rich blue tones of the Lake Constance. You’ll then follow the waterfront to Egnach – Uttwil and Constance. It is the place from which a trip to the Mainau flower island is suggested. After a brief break, you’ll proceed to Radolfzell and Überlingen and as far as Meersburg. Subsequently the tour continues to Friedrichshafen, where you should not miss a visit to the Zeppelin Museum. The castle and the castle church are also worth your attention. The waterside promenade provides breathtaking views of the Lake Constance.

And then you’ll set out on your way back through Lindau and Simmerberg to your Alpenblickhotel Oberstaufen. Treat yourself with a cool refreshment out on the restaurant terrace and tell your friends about what you have just experienced.

3 countries – 3 MONDI-HOLIDAY hotels! Undertake this intensely varied tour to experience the multifaceted nature of these countries: passes, valleys, lakes and mountain ranges will impress you!

From Alpenblickhotel Oberstaufen, you’ll drive along the Großer Alpsee lake to Immenstadt and, over the Oberjoch Pass (1,174 m), to Schattwald. From there, you’ll continue over the Gaicht Pass (1,093 m) – Eng Pass (946 m) to Lermoos. This is the place of your first stop at the Tuftl Alm observation platform. Following that brief pause, you’ll proceed to the Fern Pass (1,212 m) and the Holzleiten Saddle (1,110 m), reaching the Alpinhotel Schlösslhof in Axams. Let yourself be spoiled there by culinary pleasures taking your lunch on the beautiful sun terrace. Thus refreshed, you’ll continue to Matrei – Steinach and, having arrived to Brenner, you can use the opportunity and make a shopping tour in the Outlet Centre. Then you’ll proceed over the Brenner Pass (1,370 m) and Jaufen Pass (2,094 m), plunging into the beautiful South Tyrolean landscape. And it is where you can visit the next MONDI-HOLIDAY hotel. The Genusshotel Tirolensis is located in Tesimo, in the vicinity of Merano. Following a brief refreshment pause, you’ll drive on to Castelbello – Schlanders – Mals and, over the Reschen Pass (1,504 m), including a brief photo shooting stop, along the Reschensee lake back to Austria.

You’ll turn left at Landeck and continue to Ischgl im Paznaun – over the Bielerhöhe Pass (2,037 m) to Tschagguns – Bludenz and on over the Faschinajoch Pass (1,486 m). Having reached the Faschinajoch Pass (1,486 m), you’ll set out on your way back to Alpenblickhotel Oberstaufen.
